Major Actions This Week:

White House

On Monday, President Obama will have a series of interviews with local television stations.

On Thursday, the President will assess the rebuilding progress at Ground Zero with Governor Cuomo and Mayor Bloomberg.

Senate

On Monday, the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to the Farm bill (S 3240), post-cloture.

On Tuesday, the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions will hold a hearing to examine equality at work, focusing on the “Employment Non-Discrimination Act”.

On Wednesday, the Banking Committee will examine risk management, focusing on JP Morgan Chase and Co. and the Appropriations Subcommittee on the Department of Defense will examine proposed budget estimates for fiscal year 2013.

On Thursday, the Energy and Natural Resources committee will examine competitiveness and collaboration between the United States and China on clean energy and the Finance Committee will hold a hearing on Medicare physician payment policy, focusing on lessons from the private sector.

House

The House will be in recess this week. They will return on Monday, June 18.
